The Winning Step

Im having monday blues but the slight drizzle outside and mostly hot maggi made by yours truly just lifted me up and actually want to do something productive..so here i am :P

Kids really are the best teachers!

Yesterday I was the bookstore looking at all those books i wish i could buy(esp the Calvins and Hobbes collection..yea the entire thing) and suddenly i heard loud footsteps followed by a loud shriek. Along with half the bookstore stalkers there, i turned around to see 2 kids engaged in a serious game of running race in the middle of the store.

he 2 contenders were a tiny girl in a pink frock, who was at most 5 and a slightly bigger boy, 8 or so, dressed in a blue t shirt and shorts. Both kids looked absolutely adorable and as always the boy seemed to be making the rules for the game.

Suddenly the boy, after a deep discussion wit his kid sister shouted "1, 2, 3, GO!" and both ran for their lives up the stairs and down again. By this time, most of the watchers had dispersed to mind their own business but i wanted to know who won so i stayed on to watch.

The kids came thumping down and as expected, the boy came first by a large margin.. He ran down and jumped a couple of times. Then he saw that his sister hadn't come down yet. He turned around to find her standing on the steps looking down at him. The kid almost had tears welling in her eyes. The boy immediately climbed back those stairs, went next to his sister, gently lifted her, carried her down the rest and put her down in front of him saying "You came first!"

The girl immediately smiled and started laughing in pure joy shouting "i won i won" at anyone who passed by her.

The boy smiled and watched on...

I moved to the next rack with a smile that stayed with me the rest of the day....

Bewildered

I want to read...

But my mind's miles away

I'd love to write...

But words fail to come to me

My College life So Far!

Morning!

C: Wake up! its late. Time is 8:00

X: It's just 8:00

C: College at 8.30?

X: I can be 10 mins late to class!

C: You are already 10 mins late to class!

X: Come on, it will just take 8 mins to get ready and 2 mins to walk.

Will sleep for 10 more mins

C: Just eight mins to get ready??? You have to bath

X:huh..Bath? How is going to make a difference?

C: Brush?

X:okkk..done in 2mins!

C: Atleast wash your face?

X:No, anyway going to sleep in class

C: Then why go to class

X: Attendence!!

C: But it takes atleast 10 mins to eat

X: Food?

C: Yes, breakfast

X: Cant afford to waste time on that

C:When will you eat

X: I will have brunch

C: What the hell is that

X: I will break my fast at lunch

C: its not good for health

X:Come on, three hours is not going to make any difference

C: You are spoiling your health

X: Get Lost! let me sleep

Lunch Time!

C: its already half hour into lunch

X:So?

C: Have your brunch

Y(friend of X): Hey, give your observation?

X: For what?

Y: for what else..to copy!

X: to copy what?

Y: Experiments for next hour lab!

X:Lab next hour, SHIT!

Y: What?

X:Even i should write

C: You should eat!

X to C:Wait!

X toY: will you write for me? I have to eat

Y: Get Lost

C: You sould eat!

X to C: Wait!

X to Y: Atleat, will you eat for me?

Y: Whhaat???

X: I am sorry...

C: You should eat

X: will eat after lab

C: its not good for health

X: Just 2 more hours..I will survive

C: You are spoiling your health

X: Get lost! let me write!!

Evening

C:The lab is over, you have to eat

X: Yup! Going to Canteen!

C: Good.

X at Canteen: Shit!

C: What?

X: he is there

C:who?

X:he

C:so?

X:He looks so adorable!

C: Crush?

X: Dont know..

C:You like hiiimm?

X:yes

C: (whispers) Love is blind!

X: what?

C: nothing

X: Whenever he is around I feel something is happening inside me?

C: what is happening?

X: Like butterflies in stomach

C: That's acidity idiot! you have to eat!

X: my heart beats so fast

C:You are weak. You have to eat

X:I want to keep looking at him

C: First, finish eating

X: Wait!

C:Eat!

X: He is going..

C: where are you going?

C: Food?
